The Montalcino Aortic Consortium (MAC) is guided by a collaborative governance structure designed to support scientific excellence, transparency, and international cooperation. Leadership Roles

Executive Chair
Provides overarching leadership for MAC’s governance, administration, ethics, and strategic coordination. Oversees meetings, priorities, and decision-making processes.

Past Executive Chair
Offers continuity, historical insight, and strategic guidance. The most recent Past Executive Chair serves on the Executive Committee, and the role provides stability during leadership transitions.

Scientific/Research Chair
Guides MAC’s scientific direction, research strategy, and development of new studies. Ensures scientific rigor across all MAC initiatives.

Clinical Chair
Provides leadership for clinical phenotype data collection, standardization, and quality across participating sites. Supports harmonization of clinical practices within the consortium.

GADA Canada Representative
GADA Canada serves as the administrative center for MAC. A GADA Board Director sits on the Executive Committee, providing operational and governance support to the consortium and its members.
